June 18-22 ( Ages 8-10 ) IMAGINARY FORCES

What’s your superpower? At least, what’s your character’s superpower? Or, maybe . . . what can you imagine as a superpower? A group of kids decide it’s high time they took over the world (or the playground) with all the imaginary forces they can muster. Through creative play, improv, and your wildest imagination you will create a theatrical mini-performance for friends and family.

Once Upon A Mattress

July 27-August 10 ( Grades 6-12 ) WILL TO WONDER

First Encounters with the Bard. We’ll look at a variety of Shakespeare scenes, from gravediggers to plays-within-plays to servants with dogs, and put them together with all the physical comedy, melodrama, zaniness and silly fighting they’d have been performed with at the Globe. Participants will have a great
introduction to understanding Shakespeare, especially discovering the humor in these many Shakespeare plays. Using the same minstrel-like approach to entertainment as our Renaissance Festival performance troupes, we’ll concoct a short performance for friends and family.

(Directed by Daved Driscoll, Words Players)
Two weeks M-F 9am - 4pm: $500
