Summer Theatre Academy of Rochester (STAR) 2017
Mini-STAR Sessions Price: $90 Ages 5-6years
Through fun games and activities, students will be encouraged to use their own imaginations to create new characters and explore new worlds. A great introduction to the theatrical arts. Students may bring a daily snack.
One-week Drama Sessions Price: $200
Students, ages 7 and up, will be instructed on drama and movement. After practicing these new skills, students will create a performance for family, friends, and the community on the Saturday following the last day of the session. All sessions are 10:00am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday. Students need to bring a lunch daily.
Two-week Musical Sessions Price: $400
Students, ages 7 and up, will be introduced to the magic of dance, music, and basic acting techniques. The two weeks will be spent learning these essential theatrical skills and rehearsing a short musical that will be performed for family, friends, and the community at 11:00am on the Saturday following the last day of the session. All sessions are 10am – 3pm, Monday – Friday. Students need to bring a lunch daily.
Film Production Price: $400
Students, ages 13 and up, will spend two weeks developing a short film. This session will include hands-on lessons in film development, acting on camera, and multi-media presentation. A final screening of the film will be open to friends, family, and community.

The Rochester Civic Theatre Company is committed to providing affordable education to all students. Scholarships are available for all our educational programming. Applications are available upon request or via our website here.
Space is limited! Early registration is strongly encouraged.
Student enrollment is confirmed upon receiving payment for the session. A full refund will be given for cancellations received 30 days or more prior to the start of the session. Refunds will not be given for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the start of the session.
All sessions take place at the Rochester Civic Theatre.
