Showstoppers: - back to top
Showstoppers is Civic Theatre ’s very own Glee Club. This troupe concentrates on bringing the magic of music and dance to the stage, performing a variety of musical numbers complete with choreography and singing and full of toe-tapping, hand-clapping fun.
Ages: 9-18 years old
Rehearsals: Wednesdays 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Membership fee: $50/term (Aug '11 - May '12)
Audition for the troupe : TBA
Those auditioning are required to bring a prepared solo
(with sheet music for an accompanist) and must be
prepared to participate in a dance/movement audition.

Inside Out Players is a youth performance troupe that works to develop its own performance pieces. Through the use of improvisation and other creativity-inspiring techniques, this troupe works together to develop a variety of pieces that will be put together in a performance full of fun, imagination, and talent. (Inside Out Players term is October – May.)
Ages: 9-14 years old
Rehearsals: Fridays 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Membership fee: $40/term

Otherwise Actors is a theatre troupe designed for the creative spirit. This troupe explores the world of improvisation, Commedia, clowning, theatrical movement, classical theatre (such as Shakespeare and the like,) story telling and much more. The works of this group are developedthrough a collaboration of all members involved.
Ages: approx. 14+ years (Adults Welcome!)
Rehearsals: Thursdays 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Membership fee: $40/4-month term
Audition for the Fall '12 troupe: Sept 13, 4 - 6pm

Troupe Auditions are open to all individual within the listed age limits. (See the troupe descriptions.) Audition dates are announced on a term-by-term basis. Troupe auditions take place at Rochester Civic Theatre's class room unless otherwise noted.
