Open Auditions:

Les Misérables

July 16 & 17 , 2013 at 7:00pm

Open Auditions for Les Misérables (Musical) will be held July 16 & 17 at Rochester Civic Theatre.

We are looking for:

  • A large group of men and women to play roles of characters who are 20-year-old and up.
  • One young boy aged 10-13ish to play a role of Gavrosh.
  • Two young girls aged 10-13ish to play roles of Little Eponine and Little Cosette.

Below is a list of characters and what the auditionees will be asked to sing. If you are auditioning for a specific role, please be prepared to sing the indicated 16 bars from the listed song. Everyone who auditions will be considered for a role in the choral ensemble.

Music sheet copies of these selections are available in the Box Office (opening Mon - Fri, 11am - 3pm.)

<Audition Information>

  • No pre-registration necessary.
  • Auditions at Civic Theatre are always open to the public and never precast.
  • Rochester Civic Theatre practices color-blind casting and encourages people of all races, creeds, and cultures to audition.
  • Rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the auditions. (For Les Miserables , the rehearsal is scheduled to begin on July 22.)
  • Wear something comfortable to dance/move at the audition.
  • A script for a non-musical is available to check out with a small deposit fee ($10) at the box office. Stop by the box office for details. Scripts must be returned to the box office 2 days before the audition.
  • If you wish to audition but unable to attend the given dates, contact the box office at info@rochestercivictheatre.org to schedule a possible private audition before July 15.
